I receive messages from God. These messages are usually answers to questions or ideas and most of the time they are manifested in my thoughts during prayer or quiet time. However, as my life becomes more hectic and increasingly overwhelming, it gets harder to hear His advice. I consider myself blessed that God is patient because sometimes He gives the message repeatedly and in different ways and I am just too busy with my life to listen. His latest message took about sixth months before it finally penetrated.
This weekend my baby sister Kathleen, is getting married and of course the family is very excited! We have been looking forward to and planning the big day for about a year-and-a-half. A few months ago Mary, the family organizer and Kathleen decided that we should provide a pre-wedding party for the bride and groom’s friends and family: about 40 people. This would be fine except everything is being done in another city and in a house no one has seen.
It was August 7th and I woke up excited to start the day. It would be a busy day with teachers from preschool through 2nd grade training in their new reading program. Although that was my priority for the day, it was the pre-school students that were on my mind. It was vital that I visit the three-year-olds. I quickly finished preparing for the day hoping I would be able to make time for my three-year-old friends.
I am looking forward to seeing all of you and your children on Monday morning! It has been a long summer and I have missed you all. We have had a couple of last minute staff changes. I am proud and happy to announce the staff for the 2012-2013 school year.
