Growing up I was never fond the game of golf. It was something my dad did on Saturdays and watched on TV each Sunday. This of course annoyed my mom.
After my dad passed away I had the opportunity to speak to other members of my family who played golf with him. They told me of the comradery they shared, the laughter and the jokes and the beautiful vistas they saw together. To help make peace with the loss of my father, I decided to play some golf. Joined by family and good friends I quickly understood my dad’s love for the game. Although I do not aspire to improve my game, I do aspire to enjoy those I am with and God’s creation that surrounds me.
The golf tournament continues to progress. We have been blessed with several more donations this week! What we are most concerned about is the lack of golfers! If you would like to golf or know someone who would enjoy the event please encourage them to attend. Experience is not necessary! Anyone who wants to wear the tournament shirt on the day of the tournament must have there registration in no later then March 13th. Golfers who register after March 13th will receive their shirts after the tournament. Please join the fun!
