Dear Parents- the following message is brought to you by Diego Castillo and Bella Castillo – Catholic School Week’s Principals for the Day:
Hello everyone! My name is Diego Castillo (5th grade) and I will be your principal for the day. My cousin, Isabella Castillo (Kindergarten), will be your vice principal and helping out.
On Saturday, January 24th, the school had its 7th Annual Monsignor Moreton Memorial Crab Feed, Live and Silent Auction. At the Crab Feed, the alumni and I helped to set up for the event. I also got to attend the event. The Crab Feed is so much fun and if you can, you should go next year! Also, this event is considered the kick-off to Catholic Schools Week.
As you know, Catholic Schools Week is here and all week long students will be doing fun activities. I’m really looking forward to helping out those in need by making sack lunches for Catholic Charities.
OLV School is an AMAZING school and I love this school so much. My family first came to OLV in 1983 when my mom, Sonia Maria Castillo, started kindergarten. I have a lot of family members that came here too, including my uncle David Castillo and my other uncles and aunts, Dean, Dallas, Trisha, and Traci Alsup, all graduates of OLV. MY little cousins Phoenix and Leilani Castillo are in Preschool. My grandmother even used to work here and has a mosaic in Mary’s Grotto made in her memory.
I hope everyone has an amazing week and lots of fun during Catholic Schools Week!
