December 9, 2014

The second week of Advent came quickly!  I hope you have notice the crèche that has been placed in the main hall.  At this time it looks like a sad and empty place, but in just a few days it will house the King of Kings!

Students in second through eighth grade should have received their IOWA standardize test scores with their report cards last month.  Our school is continuing to grow and is making great improvement in several areas of this test, especially in math computation.  In January, Our Lady of Victory School will host a Town Hall Meeting to discuss standardize testing, overall test scores and answer any questions you may have.  In the mean time, you may contact your student’s teacher if you have immediate questions.

The parent club board members and the staff have been participating in a fundraiser for the school and are having fun doing so.  Now it’s your turn to join the fun! The fundraiser is called Shoparoo.  Just download the shoparoo app and begin taking snapshots of your grocery and department store receipts.  The more of our community that participates, the more money we will raise for our school!  If you do not want to download shoparoo, please consider sending your receipts to the school and the staff will take the snapshots on their phones.

Have a great week, go in peace and don’t run in the hall!
