October 21, 2014

The parent club, which includes all school parents, raises about $100,000 a year for our school.  This money is used for student scholarships and helps keep the cost of tuition down.  That is why it is so important for all parents to help in some way. One important way to help is through the auction.

The auction is our first major fundraiser of the year.  On this important night we raise between $40,000 and $60,000.  This represents about half the money the parent club needs to raise for the year.  You can help by attending the event, donating silent and live auction items and setting up or cleaning up the day of the event.

Another great way to help is to sell the cash raffle tickets.  Each ticket cost $100. The prize is $10,000 and only 200 tickets are sold.  The winning ticket will be drawn on the night of the auction and you do not have to be present to win.  If you would like to buy a ticket but cannot afford the price, please consider buying a ticket with a group of friends!

If you are coming to the auction you are in for a treat! There are many great silent and live auction items to be bid on.  My favorite live auction item is, “Father Dan and His Disciples”. This is a progressive dinner with Father Dan is for twelve adults. Babysitting and a ride to each house are included! There is also a trip to Mexico, student designed ceramics, four nights in Cayucos and much more!

If you have not yet completed the WASC survey, please do so soon. The link to the survey is: https://survey.insightify.com/60e-8c3-d6b-811Parents can log into their School Speak account and view this information in the Announcement section.  Please share your valuable opinion.

I hope to see all of you at our auction! Go in peace and don’t run in the halls!
