August 15, 2014

I am looking forward to seeing all of you August 20Th.  It has been a long summer filled with all the necessary preparations for the first day of school.

Our Grandparents Club has been busy helping out with these preparations.  They have painted Mary’s Grotto, office reception area and hall. They also helped out with classroom repairs, shampooed carpets, gardening and trimming a tree or two. They are still planning to purchase new swings for the playground and host a welcome back barbeque!  We are blessed with their energy and commitment to our school.  If you are interested in joining the Grandparents Club, please contact the school.

In June, third grader Charlie DeGrange was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor.  Currently, Charlie is receiving treatment at UCSF hospital and his family is staying in the Napa area until it is completed.  As a community, I feel it is important for us to support Charlie and his family through this difficult time. At this point we are gathering ideas on how we can serve the family.  As soon as we have a plan I will let you know how you can help.  If you purchased a tee shirt in Charlie’s name, your student may wear it to school on Wednesdays.  Please keep the Charlie and his family in your prayers!

On August 22nd, we will celebrate the first Mass of the school year on campus, in the All Purpose Room.  Prior to the beginning of Mass, Father Dan will bless each classroom and building of the school!  Please join us if you are able!

We are looking forward to having a great year! Here is the list of our 2014-2015 teachers:
