Yesterday we had a special visitor on campus. Sister Jean Williams, Assistant Superintendent of schools for the Diocese of Fresno, was here for her annual visit. I appreciate Sister Jean’s efforts to help our school. She has been an excellent mentor for me and her advice and guidance concerning WASC is priceless.
Sister spent the afternoon observing our students and teachers in action. Afterwards she met with the staff to discuss educational trends. Sister shared with the teachers how impressed she was with the activities going on in the classrooms. She spoke about how engaged our students were and the positive atmosphere of the classrooms. Sister was also impressed with the teaching staff. She told me privately, “Wow! You have excellent teachers! They have so much energy and enthusiasm.” Thank you Sister Jean, teachers, parents, and students for all you do! It is paying off.
It seems far too soon to be saying good bye until next year.
2012 sped by with abnormal speed! Here are a few reminders for next few weeks:
- Don’t forget to vote- continue voting for us at the Clorox power a bright future program. We have until December 19 to move from the 350th place to first! We can do it!
- On my daily visits to the classrooms I have noticed that student supplies need replenishing. Especially crayons.
- Make sure your child’s uniform outerwear is labeled.
- This is a good time of year to sell car raffle tickets!
- The 5th annual Crab Feed is January 26th. If you would like to help out, there are plenty of jobs available. Anything you do for this event will counts towards your parent hours!
Have a wonderful and restful break. I will keep you all in my Christmas prayers! Go in peace and don’t run in the halls!

Our Lady of Guadalupe– On December 12, 1531, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to an Indian convert, Juan Diego, and left with him a picture of herself impressed upon his cloak. Devotion to Mary under this title has continually increased and she is the Patroness of the Americas.
Advent Activities– Count down to Christmas by reading advent scriptures each day and doing an activity to go along with the scriptures.
